so they're REALLY different, huh?

I am the sort of TA that the plays a nonintellectual role in the course. I make exams, grade exams, field emails and teach when mp is ill. I do NOT have office hours. Despite that, one of those crazy students found me in the lab while heidy was telling me a story. Well, I couldn't exactly claim busy, now could I. I quickly hid the exam questions I was working on and just looked at her. She said she was in anatomy and had a few questions. I said, Marianne is in office hours now, she would probably be more helpful. She turns to the joint page and said she did not understand. Neither did I so I told her to find Marianne. She said okay, I just have one more question. She turns to the page on something else I knew nothing about. Again, Marianne is in her office hours now. Okay, but she just has one more question. Now she turns to the pages she knows I know because I tuaght that chapter the day before. No getting out of this one. She said she liked the way I taught and that is why she came to me. Too bad I shattered that image by not knowing anything. She pointed to a picture and asked if I could go over it again. So I just start babbling about muscles not really answering any sort of question because she never really asked any direct question. I looked at the clock and realized I was late to meet susan for lunch. I said, I really need to get going you can probably still catch Marianne. She said, "What is the difference between an artery and a nerve?" I look up, my breath stops and my heart skips a beat. There is a midterm on anatomical orientation, surface anatomy, integument, skeletal tissue, axial skeleton, appendicular skeleton, joints, muscle tissue and muscles of the body tomorrow and she is asking me the difference between an artery and a nerve!? Uh oh! I calmly explained the difference and wished her good luck. I hope she does well. I recommended she read the chapters mp did not go over so that she has the necessary background information.

When she turned in her exam today she said it wasn't so bad and I hope she is right and I am crossing my fingers for her.

I now have a face to put with the evilness of his words. I was nice and polite even though I know how mean he really is.

I can hear the singing guy outside right now. I wonder what gives him that security!
