punch, punch, shot

I was walking out of the bathroom when a group of summers/hicks lab people were passing. Andrew said, what are you doing here? which is a stupid thing to say to someone when they are walking out of the bathroom. Peeing, I replied. I said to Amanda, are you just coming back from lunch?... Yeah, we went to the BBQ luncheon at the university club... Oh me too, I said... Really? she exclaimed, I didn't see you, why didn't you say hi?... I was sitting right next to you... you were?... yeah, we held hands... (pause)... were you really there?

Seriously, she has got to be the most gullible person I have ever known. And that... was the highlight of my day. The rest was me trying to figure something out that just could not be true... to do that I used four different statistical programs and kept receiving the same wrong answers... but its not my fault, I say... I think this program cannot do math correctly.

Now let us stop and think. Do we trust that I have made no errors and FOUR statistical programs are making the wrong calculations? Of course not. But for some reason it took me about 10h to figure out that I labeled one little bitty thing incorrectly. What a waste of a day that way. I couldn't figure out how it could be true because it wasn't.

The evening got a bit better... dinner with Rebecca at Thai Kitchen where I accidentally made a disgusted face at a woman picking off meat from an intact fish right near the head while the server was trying to take out the skeleton. I felt bad. I told her about how I am total sponge. Like her laugh and his "let's bounce" and her "wooooo" while twirling the finger (which she didn't do last time I knew her) and his HUH!? and" I knoooow, right?" et cetera The laugh is one that ends with this loud inhale. Every time I do it make a mental note to just stop but I can't. Now it is my laugh too. Why don't I pick up the cool habits?

Then we were off to watch a movie I only understood half of the words to... very thick accents... Steve and Mimi kept having to translate. Did you know nicks/knicks/something like that is "prison"? Hm.

What you didn't like the song? Well, pay attention while I play it again but louder. You'll like it this time.

I like that my deodorant smells like fruit loops.
