Happy 28th Birthday!!
We ate hummus veggie sandwiches to celebrate... I miss the days when we walked over there together. Our once daily ritual has turned into never. It was nice to share that again. Then we went out for snails for dinner.

A little memory: I asked her to leave work one morning to take me to the orthodontist. She agreed but was not too happy about the last minute notice. It wasn't part of her schedule. I told her that it is always very fast and should take no longer than 15 minutes. Of course it was the day that the lobby was packed with a bunch of pissed off people wearing braces. Parents late to work, kids falling behind in their classes. We just sat there laughing and carrying on waiting to be called. And of course this is the day they were going to skip me and I wouldn't notice until every other person that came in after me was admitted first.

"When Adam asks why I didn't finish my discussion I will tell him I was taking Amanda to get her car fixed and Melissa to the orthodontist. I think I am going to win the soccer-mom-of-the-year award."
