I did not realized how much I was looking forward to this or that I even wanted to go until it was postponed. I do not know where to go from here. Do I attend the postponed time even though that means another plane ticket? Do I need to cancel my hotel reservation or will that be assumed? Should I just go now anyway to visit? To volunteer? Would I be of any use?

don't go without contacting local help organizations to ask whether you can be of any help. volunteers sometimes turn out to be more of a pain ...
not to mention I have no skills... unless they need someone to isolate dna?
