...it's really not the latest mac gadget. What it is is not as clear as I thought it was going to be and I definitely do not see how you can teach it in a public school system. Let alone, in science class.
After the proponents for intelligent design spoke, Tim said he could not find anything to disagree about. They believe in evolution, they just do not think it explains the presence of all animal/plant phyla and they believe the earth is old, they just think an intelligent being brought it here in the first place. It was not until Walter spoke that the word god was even mentioned. Tim was diplomatic, as always, stating that scientists are not out to prove that there is no higher, intelligent being. They are simply studying mechanisms of evolution. The chemist was stereotypically nerdy, his intelligence exuding from him like heat from a flame. Those young scientists... so eager and motivated. I hope we can have lunch with that guy so we can talk about his beliefs and whether he was happy with the chosen ID proponents.
I am sorry for our uncontrollable giggling... but Walter is FUNNY! and I am not sure why you were not also laughing.
I am sorry I no longer care to know them or like them... but they were mean and I am not too quick to give people another chance. I think I learned that about myself just last night.
