To get there was 4 hours of wishing I could sleep and to get home was 6 hours of what I thought would be misery [as I do not excel at sitting comfortably still for long periods of time]. Instead, it was 6 hours of entertainment. Two movies, a delicious dinner with a mango tini and a little reading later, I awoke to instructions to put my tray table and seat in upright and locked positions as we were entering the LA area and preparing to land. It was the best little plane party I have ever had. The woman next to me was lovely and talked of the timeless novel I was reading. While I indulged myself with frivolous media she read the first 6 chapters of her statistics textbook and manual, furiously writing notes in the margin. How it is unfortunate to be of the MTV generation, productivity declines 10-fold.
