We were going to a party; a holiday party for chemists. You had to dress up. Well, we did dress up and I thought, wow! we are really dressed up! I have never before been to such a fancy holiday party. We looked like this...

That wasn't my makeup and those were not my shoes and no matter how much effort I put forth those dresses and shoes and makeup will never make me look good. But I will probably own those shoes some day. When we arrive at the party I realized that we were pretty casual to many of the young chemists of america...
...they looked like they were going to prom. Every SINGLE person was dressed up. Every guy had on a tie. I could not get over the fact that I was at a party for graduate students. That would never fly in Eco/Evo. I was thinking how very sophisticated are these chemists. But then I saw a keg stand...
and I don't even know what you call this...
It was crazy and time to go home.

oh my gosh...why is she not gagging? we saw this same thing on Sunday, at a football game, while the guys around her were chanting "chug, chug, chug,". I kid you not.
