in line

I already put all of my food on the conveyor belt when he started unloading his basket. Mine was all fruit and two vanilla soy creamers and his was frozen foods and chips and sunblock. He said, "it looks like you need some sun." Without thinking and without even looking at his face I placed my forearm against his and we both laughed. I do not know why I felt this was okay to do to a stranger. He reminded me of my dad and it was something my dad would say and I would have put my arm against his and we would have laughed just like that.

glad you are bonding at the market. i hate it when people just stare blankly in line and don't even smile and say hi to the person next to them.
