I knew judging by the rate of his steps that I would soon catch up. I wondered what we could talk about on what was to remain of our journey home. I figured it would be painful, I figured it would be awkward, I figured it would be work.
He finally noticed and paused his iPod from his pocket and I smiled and removed my ear phones while bright eyes played on.
There was no pain, no awkwardness and definitely no work. We suddenly had lots to say and much to laugh about.
