things I will never do again

Married with kids life is much different than the single life. I would much rather spend time with Elli right now than participating in and thinking about my hobbies and own well-being. Things I kept thinking I would get back to later that I will probably never do again:

1. Run:  it is too hard. Why subject myself to that much self-inflicted suffering again? I am much too out of shape.
2. Climb:  I have no climbing buddy nor the strength, balance or stamina. Oh how I miss this one.
3. Snowboard:  I will kill myself if I really try, I know I will. Or, I will fall down immediately and will need assistance getting back up again. This is one in which I've never been well versed or any good... but it was fun!
4. Dance in a club:  I've lost desire, which I suppose is really disguised as "I'm too old." I even wonder now why I wasted so many hours there when I could have been sleeping. Now my dancing will be restricted to home, along to toddler radio with a very cute dance partner. Until she becomes too embarrassed of me, that is.
5. Travel to a place in Europe that isn't Bulgaria:  Now there's family to consider.
6. Travel to visit my favorite friends:  Now I come with baggage, very expensive baggage, and if we pay to go any where it basically has to be to see family. My dad has still not met Elli.
7. TV on DVD marathons:  What? That was fun!
8. Take a walk with my iPod, listening to music and This American Life.
9. Blog regularly.
10. Buy cute clothes (or any clothes without a coupon): I used to be the well-dressed one at work and now... ugh. Just... ugh.

Ha! Those were all a bunch of things I am not sure I can do again anyway. Being a grown up is a lot of work. I am sure it will get even crazier when cell ball gets here April. xoxo, mp
