It was the usual chaos that is her life and I was happy to share the entire day by her side. On her side. It was obvious that she was very proud of herself and knew she deserved the attention, praise and lunch. She worked hard and earned her status. Mine was very different and I had no pride at all. I felt relief, of course, but there was no moment when I was proud of myself. I wonder what makes us so different. I suppose a lot of different experiences made us different in so many ways.
And could everyone just stop being so damn proud to be an American? Unless you studied and passed a test to acquire citizenship, YOU DID NOT DO ANYTHING! It is luck you are feeling. Not pride. Be proud to be a master, not proud to be an american.
