A very merry Christmas to all! I, on the other hand, officially dislike Christmas. As of today. Having kids who feel like they are so entitled and have such little appreciation for what they do have just sucks the joy right out of the freaking holiday. Since we were staying home this year I tried to make the place festive with lots of Christmas cookies and sweets, a Christmas tree that they refused to participate in decorating and each having overflowing stockings. They even had the nerve to bring up the Christmas in Bulgaria where their cousins got better presents than they did. I about lost it at that point and reminded them that their cousins each receive ONE cheap toy that they absolutely appreciated and loved whereas Tanya and Maria received SEVERAL presents before we even went to Bulgaria.
Present opening started with Tanya giving her homemade blankets to everyone (including the doll) but me and ended with her crying in her bedroom because she didnt get enough stuff. At least we have 365 days before the next suffering. Or wait, Nevermind, they'll be home again in a few hours.
Well, at least Elli liked her presents!

Yikes! Sorry the holiday was so rough. I saw somewhere about gift giving for kids
they get 4 presents:
something they want
something they need
something to wear
and something to read.
Maybe don't do presents next year. :)
Glad E had fun though! Miss you tons!
