open it

It is never much fun to admit your mom is right. She always said that I could not stand things that are unopened and although I denied it for a while, it was true then and it is true now. It is killing me that I still have not finished my last tube of toothpaste and it is not yet time to move on to the next. At least it is out of the box and ready to go. That happened immediately. I don't even want to talk about how long it is going to take to be able to use the new floss.

When I was younger I used to have fake presents to put under my miniature tree for decor. I cannot even tell you how many times I had to unwrap (even though I knew they were empty) and rewrap them. I need to wear new clothes as soon as possible (if I am to wear them at all) and even something as minor as kitchen gadget must be removed from the box upon entering the house. Opened immediately. I am surprised he had to remind me that the dvd was still in the wrapper. Little did he know it had just been purchased.

I am like a cat standing in front of a closed door.
